Lock's Electric was started in 1957 by John Lock in Wallace, Kansas. He later moved the business to Main Street Sharon Springs as it steadily outgrew his home. Lock's Electric was passed down to David Lock, who has been a part of Lock's Electric since he was just a boy. On March 1, 2016, Lock's Electric passed to the third generation - Bill (Barney) and Marilyn Noone.

Over the years, Lock's Electric has provided a variety of goods and services to the surrounding community with the staple being kitchen appliances and electronics. Appliance service and repair has also been an integral part of the business.

Barney grew up on a farm south of Jennings, Kansas raising cattle and grain crops. For the past seven years, he has worked as a mechanic and a salesman for the local farm equipment dealership. Marilyn (Fischer) grew up on a farm in southeast Wallace County and is a great-niece to John and Lenetta Lock. She has been in the banking industry for the past 24 years.
